The absolute highlight of our time in Kuwait has been our membership in the Kuwait Harps GAA club. In addition to discovering a new and challenging sport, we have gained deep, wonderfulm and lifelong friendships with our brothers and sisters in the club. Joe started training with the Harps as soon as practice sessions began and he had so much fun that he even convinced Lindsay to join up late in the year. Joe played in all three tournaments (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Bahrain) and Lindsay played in the Dubai tournament. We cannot begin to express how much the Harps mean to us both!
Gaelic football is one of the world's greatest games, according to Joe and all Irish people across the world, and it is a ton of fun to play. There are clubs all over the world, anywhere there are Irish people, and there is quite a Gaelic football presence in the USA. Do yourself a favor, if you are interested in picking up a fun new sport and meeting some wonderful Irish lads, and check out a local club if you can! Just hop on wikipedia and look up GAA clubs in the USA. Give it a try and thank us later!
Here are just a few pictures of our many great moments with the Harps the past several months:

Joe loves playing defense, comparing it to playing free safety in American football. He lays several big hits on opposing attackers pretty much every match he plays in |
